Retrospective: Sacrebleu Productions – Women Only

Since its founding in 1999, Sacrebleu Productions has won countless awards – Cristals at the Annecy International Animation Film Festival, Oscar nominations, César Awards, Golden Globes and many more. The studio is known for feature films such as “Long Way North”, “Marona’s Fantastic Tale” and “My Sunny Maad”. This year, the latest production, “Sirocco and the Kingdom of the Winds”, will be screened at Fantoche. Sacrebleu brings together feature-length and short films, series and virtual reality works, new talent and experienced professionals. Modern classics such as Michaela Pavlátová’s short film “Tram” are welcome favourites at Fantoche.

For this retrospective, we have selected six of the best animated short films from over 90 short films and more than 2,000 international festival selections and compiled them with a “women only” focus that celebrates the female perspective on animation and the diversity of contemporary life.
