Since 2014, Fantoche hosts the Industry Day, an industry event that aims to network the local animation film industry. The annually changing programme of Fantoche Industry Day includes talks, workshops, lectures and networking events. Information on the current programme will be available here in spring 2023.

Since 2018, Fantoche awards the Swiss Animation Industry Award (SAIA) for the best animated commissioned film in cooperation with SWISSFILM Association. The winners receive a nomination for the Edi industry award and win a day at the Jingle Jungle sound studio in Zurich.

Two programs will explore the intersection between animation and game design. In the one-week workshop “How Animators and Game Designers work together” in cooperation with the Lucerne School of Art and Design, Animation (HSLU), the Zurich University of the Arts (ZHdK) and the Grand Casino Baden, game designers and animation filmmakers will create prototypes that will be presented at the end of the week. The panel “Game Industry Focus: Playful Animations” curated by the Swiss Game Developers Association (SGDA) will present national and international game developers and their work.

Filmmakers will give an insight into their imagination and the creation of their Films in a relaxed morning discussion over coffee and brunch, served for all guests.
