Meet the Artist: Lucija Mrzljak, Disciple of Estonian Animation

The multi-talented, Oscar-shortlisted animation director and illustrator Lucija Mrzljak hails from Croatia and studied in Zagreb, Krakow, Prague and Tallinn. She now lives in Estonia, where she directed a series of award-winning films with Estonian director Morten Tšinakov. The international press praises her as subversive, quirky, pertinent and an outstanding disciple of Estonian animation. In addition to her author shorts and music videos, she illustrates children’s books and draws political caricatures. She also teaches at the Estonian Academy of Arts.
