Making-of "Sauvages"

Eight years after his acclaimed feature film debut “Ma vie de Courgette”, Swiss animation film director Claude Barras is back! With his second stop-motion film “Sauvages” he once again addresses the younger generation and wants to “sensitise children to the conservation of the rainforest and all its inhabitants, humans and animals”. He carried out thorough field research for his story, which is set in the rainforest of Borneo. It tells of the journey of a girl, her father and a rescued orangutan baby. At a time when awareness of our planet is at the top of the social agenda, Barras asks us all the question: who really are the savages? The filmmaker also tackled the issue of environmental protection behind the scenes, using sustainable materials wherever possible. He will bring some of his puppets with him to Baden.
